NiteSciFi was established in 2004 as a site for fans to share and enjoy all things Sci-Fi. Originally called "NiteShdw", the website quickly grew to almost 50,000 members.

After being closed down in 2006 briefly, the website relaunched under the NiteSciFi name, and slowly rebuilt itself over the years. The forums closed down again in 2015 due to hosting trouble, but are now open again here for users old and new to reconnect.

Here you can discuss all things Sci-Fi (and non-Sci-Fi alike!).

Ok, so I'm just as lazy at posting these as before, so we may as well have a general discussion topic...

How are we finding the season so far?

Also - season 2 confirmed!

I'm definitely happy about this - I just hope they don't resort to obvious filler episodes.

I keep watching it, but this has nothing to do with the "original", Roddenberry-style Star Trek. If you want proper Star Trek, watch Orville.
"Lethe" was boring and predictable. At this point STD feels like watching any contemporary drama series, except the writing is worse. I don't expect much any more, the new Star Trek has nothing of Roddenberry's positivity and optimism towards Humanity. It's just a drama series with beautiful CGI.
Sorry, I don't want to kill the topic, what do you people think of S01e07?
I did like the last two episodes (s01e08-09) better than the rest. I still think it's too over-dramatized though. Once you get into the Star trek part, it turns into a romantic scene of an action movie from the nineties. Frankly the romance between Michael and the bearded guy is the one thing I don't care about at all. I'm glad they didn't end the season in a cliffhanger!
